The mathematics department at TU Darmstadt is strong in research. According to the 2009 CHE research ranking, mathematics at TU Darmstadt is placed in the top group with respect to the indicators "absolute numbers of publications", "absolute numbers of doctoral dissertations" and "doctoral dissertations/professor"; more details are available on the web page research ranking. Furthermore, we are on the 4th position of the research ranking "Applied Mathematics" of the Humboldtstiftung (read more here).
