Dear First Year Students,

We are happy that you have chosen to study mathematics at TU Darmstadt and we welcome you heartily in our department. On our web-sites you can find useful information and details on and around our courses. We want to underline the most important issues and point out interesting links.
In the winter semester lectures always begin mid October and in the summer semester mid April. The next summer semester will start with the orientation week on Monday, 2 April 2012, the lectures will commence a week later on Tuesday, 10 April 2012.

The Orientation Week (OWO) takes regularly place in the week before the official start of lectures. During the OWO we take the time to explain and show first year students everything which is important to study successfully in our department. We also want to have some fun during this week and it is supposed to be a way to get to know each other as well as older students. The Orientation Week in Summer Semester 2012 will start on Monday, 2 April 2012. The OWO will end on Friday, 5 April 2012.
