Algorithmic Discrete Mathematics

Algorithmic discrete mathematics is roughly described as the part of mathematics which can be done by a computer exactly, that is, without relying on approximate solutions. It is naturally tied to optimization, computer science, computer algebra, discrete and computational geometry, and other fields.

Our active areas of research include the following:

  • mathematical software
  • geometry and combinatorics of convex polytopes
  • combinatorial topology
  • tropical geometry
