How to find the optimization group

As of October 30, 2009, the optimization group is no longer based in the math building (S2|15) but in the building S4|10 in Dolivostraße 15:

By car, via motorway

This is the red route in the map.

• Arriving from directions Frankfurt/Köln/Heidelberg/Basel, leave the motorways A5 or A67 at the exit Darmstadt-Stadtmitte
• Continue onto Rheinstraße/B26.
• Turn left at Steubenplatz.
• Follow the street until you reach Dolivostraße. S4|10 is on the right hand side. (Our building is the second one with a barrier you will pass once you reached Dolivostraße.)
• Note that you cannot park your car in front of the building unless you have a parking allowance. Also note that it might be rather hard to find a parking space close to the building.

By train, arriving at the main station

This is the blue route in the map.

• In front of the main station take
  • bus line K, direction TU-Lichtwiese or
  • tram line 3, direction Lichtenbergschule.
• You can check out the best connection via the RMV-connection planer:
• Leave at the stop Feldbergstraße.
• From the bus/tram stop Feldbergstraße have a short walk to our building:
• Standing in direction of bus/tram, turn left into Feldbergstraße.
• Turn right into Dolivostraße. (This will be the second street on the right.)
• The building S4|10 is the second building on the left (the one with the barrier and the parking space in front of it).

By airplane, arriving at Frankfurt Airport FRA

• From the airport take the AIRLINER bus to Darmstadt. This leaves in front of both terminals every 30 minutes during the day. (Schedule of the AIRLINER)
• Leave the AIRLINER at the stop Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof.
• Follow the instructions above ("by train") for the way from the main station to the optimization building.
